Day 1: Tivat/Podgorica Budva
Flight to Tivat or Podgorica. Transfer to our hotel.
Day 2: Budva Sveti Stefan Petrovac
We start today with a city walk in Budva. Afterwards we take a relaxing boat trip in the bay of Budva, passing the islands of St. Nikola and St. Stefan, followed by a visit to the monastery Rezevici. The former fishing village of Petrovac on a beautiful red sand bay is then on the programme. Return to the hotel in the evening.
Day 3: Cetinje Njegusi Kotor
We leave our hotel on the coast. Finally we reach the old capital of the country, Cetinje. Once the capital of the kingdom of Montenegro. After an extensive guided tour of the town, you will have the opportunity to visit the Royal Palace. Drive to the village of Njegusi. Here a tasting of the famous raw ham awaits us. In the afternoon the next highlight of the trip - Kotor and after a short coffee break a wonderful boat trip in the bay of Kotor, which takes us to the monastery island Lady on the Rock and further to Perast. Return to the hotel.
Day 4: Bar Lake Scutari
After breakfast we first drive south to the town of Bar. The old town lies in the shelter of a castle perched on a rock of the Rumija Mountains. It was not until the 19th century that this abandoned settlement developed into the new district of Novi Grad. From there we reach Lake Scutari and the national park of the same name. Upon arrival, we take the ship and reach, among other places, the former state prison "Montenegrin Alcatraz", an abandoned prison island.
Day 5: Ostrog Monastery
After breakfast we head to the famous Ostrog Monastery. Built into the rocks like a bird's nest, the most important sanctuary of the Serbian Orthodox Church awaits us. After the guided tour we have free time, then we return to our hotel.
Day 6: Train Ride On Tito's Mountain Railway
A unique experience is on the programme today. From Bar we travel by train through the gorges of Montenegro to Kolasin. On the way back we will visit the monastery of Moraca.
