Day 1: Arrival Belgrade
Flight to Belgrade, airport transfer and hotel check-in for the next 2 nights
Day 2: Belgrade
Walk through Kalmegdan Park to the mighty Belgrade Fortress, which offers a magnificent view of the city and the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers. After visiting this extensive complex, tour of the Old Town, including the Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Orthodox Cathedral located across the street. Then visit the largest Orthodox church in the entire Balkans, one of the most massive houses of worship in the world, the Cathedral of St. Sava. Dinner in the Old Town district of Skadarlija.
Day 3: Belgrade Topola Kraljevo Studenica
Drive south to the small town of Topola: visit the nearby St. George's Church, in whose crypt almost the entire noble family of the Serbian or Yugoslav ducal and royal family Karadjordjevic is buried. Then continue via Kraljevo to the Studenica Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage Site): Move into simple rooms in the monastery's guesthouse for one night.
Day 4: Studenica Nis
Drive to the south-east of the country to Nis, one of the oldest cities in the Balkans. Constantine the Great was born in Roman town Naissus. Visit the Ottoman fortress with an old mosque and a hamam, as well as the national memorial Cele Kula, the "Skull Tower". Hotel check-in for one night.
Day 5: Nis Zajecar Rajac Kladovo
Drive to Zajecar, visit the National Museum and then to the nearby excavation site of the Galerius Palace Felix Romuliana, and its buildings richly decorated with frescoes, ornamental works in stucco and floor mosaics. Then continue via the medieval village of Rajac (wine tasting) to Kladovo on the Danube, hotel check-in for one night.
Day 6: Kladovo The Iron Gate Belgrade
After visiting the Archaeological Museum, boat trip on the Danube, passing through the "Iron Gate", one of the most spectacular stretches of the Danube, and past the famous Trajan Table, which can only be seen from the water (subject to good weather and water level conditions). Then along the Danube all the way to the Golubac Fortress (photo stop). Afterwards we return to Belgrade, where we again check into our hotel for 2 nights.
Day 7: Belgrade Novi Sad Sremski Karlovci Belgrade
Sightseeing of Novi Sad, which is known under the old Austrian name Neusatz. Sightseeing of the old town and the fortress Peterwardein, where Prince Eugene defeated the Ottomans in 1716. In the afternoon, excursion to the Fruska Gora National Park with a visit to the Krusedol Monastery. Then on to the baroque town of Sremski Karlovci, seat of the Orthodox Church and home of the Russian Church Abroad. A tasting of delicious Serbian wines also awaits us here. Return to Novi Sad. Farewell dinner.

Transfer to Belgrade Airport
