08:00 am - Our first stop is a visit to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the most iconic structures in Oman, which can accommodate up to 20,000 worshippers at a go. Its Sandstone facade, and stunning interiors lavishly furnished with Swarovski crystal chandeliers and hand-woven silk carpets ensure it place at the top of the list of must-visit places in Muscat— a pinnacle of modern Islamic architecture. (FRIDAY CLOSED)
Notes: Note: The Grand Mosque is open from Saturday to Thursday from 0800 – 1100 hrs only (last entry at 10:30 hrs). Female visitors to the mosque are required to cover their head using a scarf and wear modest clothing that fully covers arms and legs, thus no shorts, beachwear, or sleeveless outfits. Men are also required to be modestly dressed though short sleeve shirts may be allowed for men. Slip-on shoes are recommended as one has to remove them to enter the mosque.
Then proceed to the Fish Market located by the seaside.
Visit the Nakhal fort, nestled in Oman's Al Batinah region, is a historic stronghold dating back to the 9th century. Perched atop a rocky hill, it offers commanding views of the Nakhal Oasis. With its sturdy walls, watchtowers, and well-preserved interiors, the fort is a testament to Oman's rich history and architectural prowess. Today, it stands as a popular tourist destination, inviting visitors to explore its ancient chambers and soak in the stunning vistas that surround it.
Then proceed to visit the Nakhal hot springs known as Ain Al Thawarah hot springs, which are situated close to Nakhal fort, and one of the most popular tourist sites in Al Batinah South Governorate. Locals and tourists alike visit the region to enjoy a relaxed day in the area where fresh mineral water always flows from the wadi and is channeled into the falaj systems for irrigation of the surrounding areas. Many choose to swim in its pools here or enjoy a picnic when visiting this beautiful spring.

Then while driving back to Muscat visit Amouage Perfume Visitor Centre and discover how their amazing fragrances are created from their inception to the final product. Amouage, an international luxury brand is best known for its signature fragrance offerings that incorporate local Frankincense. At the center, visitors can experience the whole process right from sourcing ingredients from their in-house facilities to distilling, filtering, and packaging. A visit to this center offers an in-depth view of the history and art of perfuming in the Middle East.
